They might.

Just like we might win the league, but I can't see that happening either though can you? Our main chance of catching them is if we can keep the pressure on them and it starts to get to them. We could really do with them picking up a few injuries too as at present they look like the better side.

No mate. The "realists" have decided to call it a day. No point anymore.

We shall see although I will never say I told ya so, as that would be taking some sort of sad victory in the RS finishing top 4 but I tell you what go to the bookies and ask for odds on the current top 4 to not be the top 4 at the end of the season and lob a tenner on you will get rubbish odds though so dont plan on getting rich

*sarcasm*

OK, so hull may as well stop playing now as they wont finish above us. And YES really Liverpool who are 4th have just beat the league leaders and the 5th place team 9-1 collectively in the past 10days we haven't scored 9 in our last in our last 7 league games, so yes it is fair to say that logically thinking we will not catch Liverpool

TBF you didnt say logically, you said it was plain stupid. Quite a difference. And that team who beat us and Arsenal 9-1, also drew at West Brom, got beat by Southampton, at home, (I think).

And Man City drew at Norwich today. You just never know.

Our rivals have mate.

They beat top of the league 5-1 to move 5 points and about 78 thousand goal difference ahead of us. Let's remember that a fair bit of the optimism was based on the fact that many of us expected Arsenal to do us a favour today. Our game in hand is away to 6th place. I wouldn't expect people to be buzzing tonight. Lose tomorrow and we need the sh*te to collapse horribly if we're to get 4th.

...appreciate results haven't gone our way, but we can't do anything about that. The reds had a great result, no doubt and there will be disappointment, but if we are to get top4 its up to us.

Win tomorrow and it's 2 points with 15 games to go. Hardly set in stone. (We've also won 7 points in the last 4 games and they've won 8 in their last 4, there isn't a huge gap in form, they've been inconsistent).

I accept the odds are against us but do you really want to write it off completely? We have a chance. We need to take our chances. Teams around us are playing well so we have to match them and apply some pressure. Still 30 odd points to play for though. That's a fair amount.

you can win two 5-0 and then draw the next 4-4, but you get less points than a team who win all 3 1-0.

it is clearly far from over - i mean if suarez and sturridge got injured in the next week will you still be saying it's logical that liverpool won't be caught?

just like everyone said it was logical city would beat wigan in the final.
