Win tomorrow and it's 2 points with 15 games to go. Hardly set in stone. (We've also won 7 points in the last 4 games and they've won 8 in their last 4, there isn't a huge gap in form, they've been inconsistent).

Oh aye, they are. You could also make an arguement that their results against us, Spurs away, and today, were hugely influenced by the teams they faced on those days. Spurs were mince, as were Arsenal today. We were half fit.

Then again, they were unlucky not to get something at Citeh.

So kinda proves your point.

you can win two 5-0 and then draw the next 4-4, but you get less points than a team who win all 3 1-0.

it is clearly far from over - i mean if suarez and sturridge got injured in the next week will you still be saying it's logical that liverpool won't be caught?

just like everyone said it was logical city would beat wigan in the final.

Thats the difference, i have seen the above quote and people saying Suarez is gonna do something stupid soon, but there fans couldnt give a shyte whether we have a fully fit squad or not in the run in, and we are looking for those little happenings

nah, we really need not to lose. stay above spurs in that 5th position. we would have taken 5th at the start of the season, there's no harm in looking down as well as up. that would still be a good season.

Yep. A place higher whilst playing better football, a system/style hasnt clicked yet. I think we would all have take 5th at the start.

Spurs win 2 - 2. Way to get into that Sherwood, azul. Wonder how his hat size has grown. Like to leave him looking like Zippy the Pinhead at the end but a draw again, nevertheless. It is my duty (sigh)...

no mate, you've misinterpretated me. i have never once said that we NEED those two to be injured for us to top them, i think we're the better team, they're just more clinical. But we still have a better team and a better squad - just had a horrid injury list right at the wrong time i.e. when we played them in a six pointer.

we battered them at goodison with both pretty much at full strength. i'm not looking for such happenings, just stating the fact that they are nothing without those two therefore you can't say it's a foregone conclusion, just in case that happens.

I think we were as good then as they were at anfield and as bad at anfield as they were at goodison.

The difference between the two teams, and why they're ahead of us, is they still scored 3 goals and stole a point while getting overrun.

If you can score 3 goals even when second best all over the pitch, you'll do okay. We can't, we're either very good or we get nothing.

They were without Sturridge for about 8 games and Suarez missed the first 6, they've also lost Johnson and Enrique to long term injuries.

If we have the better team as it stands you'd think we would be ahead of them having played 20 odd games, really.
