Let's face it, consolidating a Europa spot should be the realistic aim now. Spurs were there for the taking today but when you're as toothless as we are in the final third of the pitch we are never going to make possession football count. We did lots of work in midfield but no one up top to stick a foot in. We never look like scoring freely these days and it's a major concern.

A very bad 2nd half performance. Spurs were ****e, but they took their chance. A draw would have been a fair result, but our lack of firepower is obvious.

I agree actually, the last half an hour lacked anything at all, the previous 60 minutes at least had a bit of bite to it and a willingness to try at least attempt a successful pass to a teammate.

In some respects that hurt more than the derby for me, that was just embarrassing but today was as frustrated and angry as I've been this season. That was a really nervy, average spurs team with fans getting on their backs for the taking there and we flapped. It's correct that we miss proper striker but we are badly missing someone with the nouse in and around the box to move the ball at the right moment into the right area. Gutted

that result was down to martinez imo. to bring barkley (poor performance) on for pienaar (wrong player) moving osman left (wrong position) the team looked clueless of the position and roles they were meant to be playing.
such a shame becouse it was all right till then , then he got it all wrong.
