Tough break lads, as the commentator mentioned it looked like Everton left it a bit late...Some good buildups & looked like they would end better but lacking a true striker made it difficult to get that final ball
Deulo still looks like he'll need a week or two before he's match fit...Thought he was ok for what little he was involved but disappointed in that one play where he was lazy trying to dribble a more physical Dembele...Should've known his defender wasn't going to lose that sort of decision from the ref but he looked to lack much burst yet anyway...He needs to be smarter there either way...Really good to see Barkley back, he had a few terrific pieces of action but probably forced a couple of others too...Oviedo missed because Baines looks a much inferior player by comparison - the Costa Rican adds more to the attack...Couldn't believe the ball he left for Lennon to easily close down or the run he didn't finish for Barkley's lovely through ball
Martinez deserves some blame too, should have had them sharper for today...Key players are beginning to return so that should prove to be an important boost

This is the most ridiculous knee jerk I've seen on here. Absolutely undeserved loss and some people are saying Martinez is clueless? The game was dominated until that goal which took all the wind out the sails. Just one good striker at the top of the pitch from being a very good side. Martinez obviously didn't think Traore was suitable for the game. That's fine by me. Performances like that every week will see Everton finishing no less than sixth which is a great start for Roberto.

Completely agree, however even though Osman started making mistakes before he went off, we missed somebody who could put their foot on the ball. McGeady, Deloueffelllef and Mirallas all want to run with the ball instead of pass it.
