We knew it was never gonna be easy. 2 massive chances that have to be taken. Even though we were never in it 2nd half, it took 2 mistakes (again) to break us down. The 2nd is a mistake by Tarks, he just had to play the easy pass and Pickford has to do better. Regardless if Kane dived or not, don’t put yourself in that position. Lack of creativity is worrying and then to put Iwobi (our only real playmaker) at right back for the 2nd game running is utter madness.

We’re also picking up far too many yellow cards.

Spurs weren’t great by any means, and we had 2 clear chances from 2 long hopeful balls over the top. If you ask any spurs fan (yid4life for example) he will tell you that in the majority of their matches this season, spurs have been pinned back in their own half for large chunks of their games, even against the so-called smaller teams. We couldn’t sustain any significant pressure even after going one goal down.

That is a very worrying sign.

Its the way we play. It does work (look at our home record) but it is extremely tedious to watch.

The game plan was spot on. Be difficult to break down and score on the break. We should have been 2-0 up at half time. You want us to play open and be 5 down after 50 minutes like last season??

Unfortunately our average players had particularly bad games and against teams like that, you get punished. Not much more to say.
Bah, don't want to be Burnley. Just in case we lose 5 nil.
If we're losing then I'd hope we'd try and score, rather than not try and concede again. Toothless in that second half.
I'll calm down in a bit. I know my expectations are a bit high, but just disappointed I suppose

Thats the Conte way. I don't enjoy watching us, but Id rather be hard to beat and build from that, which is also what Everton are doing. Difference is we have quality up front. We deserved that game but it could easily have been a draw.
Difference though is that everton can only dream of having so much talent going forward. We do not have any other option but to play like we are.

2nd goal is on Rondon for Gana sub imo
gifted them the midfield and two freed up bentacur and hojberg in acres of space combine
you need the ball to feed 2 strikers, we at least had it a bit without doing much before that sub
hate hail mary subs, they very rarely do anything other than the negative

We have now only won one of our last 20 matches against Spurs, and that was behind closed doors. The same applies against the RS, 1 win in 25,also behind closed doors
Feel sorry for our match going fansbase.

No, No, No.

That plan will relegate us.
Strikers do us no good if we can't create for them. January will not have a striker available in our price range who can create for himself at the Prem level. Odds are, July and August won't either.

Our chance creation is just poor, and our decision-making when we create them is worse. Onana needs to let that one rip earlier, and Gray needs to pass rather than shoot from a bad angle. We need to start scoring goals from set pieces again, and create enough threat down the wings to get the ball in for scoring chances. If we do that, opponents will have to respect the wing threat, which will open up the strikers as well as lead to set pieces.

Good strikers make movements that attract the ball.

We dont have that.

If you want to persevere with those two all season you must be nuts.

It'll relegate as sure as night follows day.

Spot on.

Our full backs can’t create. Our midfield don’t look that likely and grey/Gordon flatter to deceive. Lampard needs to find a way for us to create more - currently we are solely relying on Iwobi.

Indeed. Not sure but I think Iwobi was probably sleeping for the goal and not tracking back. What happens when you play players out of position. I might be wrong though
