Come on Eggs, he didn’t plough into Kane for heavens sake. Kane was theatrically horizontal before making the slightest of contact with Pickfords head. The initial spill from the shot was really poor, but that wasn’t a penalty caused by contact, it was a penalty gained by cunning forward play from a player who rightly has a reputation for it...it was Salah-esque. There’s no excuse at all for VAR not to review it.
I think the spill created the chaos. I also think the ref was hasty to give the pen as Kane was already in freefall. I think if he would have not given the pen VAR wouldnt have intervened.

Disappointing only because it compunds the feelings of the loss last week (As I said in my post earlier itt). It's also disappointing to concede the second goal. Before, we could've said they only won with a scrappy penalty, but we don't even have that.

Miffed two great chances which could and should have given us a 2 goal lead. It emphasises that our weakness is in the front line and needs to be addressed in January. Gave away a soft penalty which then had us chasing the game, their second goal was a fortunate deflection for them.

If Richarlison wasn't a pen last year then no it probably wasn't.

Kane is really smart. He made sure he took the contact and was already half way down before he got to Pickford. Fair play to him.
You honestly believe that ?? Honestly ??? Christ on a bike … it was a stonewall penalty …. Pickford fumbled the ball, panicked and stupidly took out the player. If you can’t see or admit that then I give up.

I think its soft but not always given. VAR intervened in a similar incident in this fixture last season.

Kane is just very smart and was already on the way down. If Richarlison went down like that he would get a lot of stick.

Your maths isn’t right though. If we accept we are getting zero points from the 14 games you mentioned then that gives us 24 games to get 40 points, 1.66 points per game. We have played 6 games so far (ignoring the games were we have already agreed we expect zero points) and have 10 points at an average of 1.66 points per game so we are on target for 40 points. Obviously not great but it should keep us up and we played a number of those games without a striker.

I`m 43 and I`m just sick and tired of us being completely rubbish (For the want of a better word), since the Premier League started in 1992 30 seasons have gone by.

Finished in the top 4 just once
Finished in the top 6, 6 times
The other 24 seasons have been just meh
Finished 15th or below in 8 seasons
In that time Arsenal (3), Blackburn, Chelsea, Leicester, The RS, Man City (6), Man Utd (13) have all won the PL. Newcastle, Villa and Spurs have been PL Runners-Up with teams like Leeds, Norwich, Forest and Spurs (2) finishing 3rd.

Also in that time, in the FA Cup Arsenal (9), Chelsea (7), Leicester, Liverpool (3), Man City (2), Man Utd (5), Portsmouth and Wigan have all won the FA Cup. Arsenal, Villa (2), Chelsea (6), Palace, Hull, Liverpool (2), Man City, Man Utd (4), Middlesborough, Millwall, Newcastle (2), Portsmouth, Sheff Wed, Southampton, Stoke, Cardiff, Watford & West Ham have all been runners up.

In the League Cup Arsenal, Villa (2), Birmingham, Blackburn, Chelsea (4), Leicester (2), Liverpool (5), Man City (6), Man Utd (5), Middlesborough, Swansea & Spurs (2) have won the trophy. Runners-up have been Arsenal (3), Villa (2), Birmingham, Bolton, Bradford, Cardiff, Chelsea (4), Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool (2), Man Utd (2), Middlesborough (2), Notts Forest, Sheff Wed, Southampton, Sunderland, Spurs (4), Tranmere and Wigan. Yes Tranmere really have been to more League Cup finals than us in the last 30 years!

To put that in to context...... Bare in mind that in 1992 when Everton were the founding members of the Premier League we were a similar size to the "SKY 6"...

Cant see this club getting anywhere near major honours for at least another 10 years... at least.

What is the point of Everton? Teams like Middlesborough, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Wigan, Bolton and Cardiff, that is our level.
