And vice versa. Personally I hope I hope I look silly but so far seeing Payet play yesterday and I fully expect Shaqiri to be a star I don't think I will be.
We might get someone in but I seriously doubt someone better than either of those two.

I think it's a touch naive to just assume the reason we haven't signed Shaqiri is that we didn't have the money or that he wanted to go to Stoke over us.
They are both possibilities, but I think the more likely scenario is that we were unsure on him as Inter have been so eager to get rid, didn't want to risk spending a big amount on him, so Inter have jumped at accepting the Stoke bid. Doesn't mean that we don't have the money to spend on him.
As so many on here have said, Shaqiri isn't the only player in the world, and all the evidence points to him being a bit of a bell. Just wait it out and fume in September if we haven't signed anyone then.
