Also think a player like Mertens could be signed with Mirallas staying. That might be me being too optimistic though.

i know simply nothing. but there's been a lot of rumours that we've been scouting him for a while and a fair few possibilities seem to be passing us by without us being interested. there's definitely a number 1 priority out there imo which isn't one of the ones linked in the last couple of weeks.

....West Ham are the new 2-1 favourites (with Skybet) to sign Kevin Mirallas. Their interest isn't surprising as I recall he was outstanding in the cup game against them last season. Saying all that, Mirallas is 5-6 to remain at Goodison, I hope so.

The funny thing is that this is probably more on topic than most stuff. I mean, Sylvain Distin actually played for Everton. None of the players mentioned in the last 40 fecking pages ever will.

Do you honestly think Howard doesn't need replacing? Do you honestly think Martinez will replace him? You jumping down the throat of anyone offering up reasonable common sense criticism of Martinez is what is boring. If we sold Howard we'd be a top draw for a number of good keepers who would improve the team. Martinez in my opinion won't replace him though and therefore his intransigence is detrimental to the team. Happy to be proven wrong though.

I have no problem with folks criticising the Manager. I do get tired of certain individuals (you) who never have anything good to say and find ways of weaving your narrative of the manager into nearly every post.
