Totally agree mate. Keep McGeady or take 1m? McGeady all day long for me, he's a different option and its a squad game.

On McGeady: done enough in Everton's euro campaign for another PL club to cough up a fee for him. We live in a world where Victor went for £6M..and that was before the daft cash kicked in.

People tend to throw the baby out with the bath water because they get all bent out of shape about a run of bad performances for their own team. Therefore someone is 'worthless'. The truth is fans are too close to the situation. If Everton let him go for anything less than £4M they must be stupid. But they're not on these matters anymore. They can drive through a decent settlement.

As said, I'd be happy to see him stay. He does a job late on off the bench. I have no idea who people think we can get to deputise for our starting players. A massive reality check is needed. This is Everton we're talking about...a club that gets in £35M this summer and we're waiting to sell Mirallas so Martinez can move in the transfer window again.

personally think we have about 12-15m to spend mate, but think martinez is delaying as he knows he needs that alone for a number 10 and that would leave him with gaps and big ones in the squad, cb, possible gk depending on howard, another winger etc so he's hoping he can get either cheap deals in elsewhere, loan to cover, or that someone like mcgeady or maybe mirralas goes to enable him to address what he wants

If Bill rang me up and he was like "Look Goat, we are skint and we need to get rid of McGeady, but we cant afford the petrol money to ship up to Celtic, can you carry him on your back?" I would have that waste of wages up to Glasgow in an hour.

As @bluestevon says, he isn't wages aren't worth what he contributes to Everton. He shows glimpses of class, but they come every several months, if he found consistency then I think we would all like him. Personally don't think he's worth it.

Also, I don't think Deulofeu will start as many games as people think.. I think we will sign another winger and Martinez is going to rotate between them. Deulofeu therefore could be used against the tiring teams.

I only hope those figures are true. I cant see it though. I know exactly the way these ***s work. They'll sell to buy from now on in and keep cash back for any possible package required to sack the manager and get his replacement in.
