He's sort of right in terms of quality, although I think Stones is the better player. The problem is he really does underestimate the impact playing in Scotland has on his value. He's effectively completely unproven when you consider the likes of Conor Sammon looked very good up there.

Around £10-12m is the fair price. He is right that Van Dijk ticks every box for a top drawer defender though.
