We do have a negotiating table.

We built it in 2008 but sold it to the council to help free up transfer funds. We're now paying £5 per week to lease the table for the next 99 years. We've also got first option should we choose to buy the table.

If we could get williams for £5m then he'd be okay for 2/3 seasons. But they've quoted £25m. It's a complete non-starter!

Williams is a good defender, and worth more to Swansea than £5mil. We can't sledge Chelsea fans all the time for devaluing our players then do the same to players at other clubs.

Stones market value (position, age etc.) is probably £30mil, but to our team he's worth a lot more - £40mil, at the least.
Wiliams market value (position, age etc.) is around £5mil, but to Swansea, as their captain and best defender, he's worth easily double that.

My first instinct is that we have a set price and aren't budging, i.e. £40m so there is no negotiating.

Then again it could be there isn't a table because we will not negotiate because he isn't for sale.
