Transfer Window Thread

Think you are underselling him there personally.

Reckon he is worth 7-8m in the current market.

Bournemouth just signed a player from the French league for 10M with no prem experience.

I wouldn't play hardball with Naismith if someone wanted him, he's been a useful player that we got on a free and is coming up to 29

£4-5m and I'd let him go and wish him luck. One good season and two poor ones. Wouldn't make a transfer too hard for him if he needs to be playing first team football.

Like I said in the Naismith thread he's a waste at the club, 3rd choice as a ST behind Rom and Kone, 3rd choice for no10 behind Ross and any incoming playmaker signing and behind Mirallas, Deloufeu and Cleverly out wide.

For £4-6 mil that could be the difference between clinching Yarmolenko or not. I would punt Naismith at the first opportunity.

Sounds like he wants away. As others say above, best if he went to a club like Norwich where his compatriots are and he could command a position.
As I've posted above, while the headline would lead you to believe that, the article has a quote, "I want to play as much as I can for Everton first and foremost" which suggests otherwise.

Yeah, it's a strange one to put out there at the business end of a transfer window though. That could easily be seen as an invitation for other clubs to test Everton's determination to resist cash for him.

I think Naismith is an ideal squad player when you have european football as he will bust a gut on a Thursday or Sunday when others are flagging and his workrate masks his lack of quality a little. When we have no europe and are just trying to get into it with less games he stands out a bit in the squad as he isn't as good. The thing is though I wouldn't get rid right now unless we have a replacement lined up and I doubt we have.

I want to play as much as I can for Everton first and foremost because that’s your day-to-day work and that’s what will bring you more success in other areas, like international recognition which means so much to me.”
