I feel a bit guilty being the one person on here who doesn't particularly want Yarmolenko to join. I'm sorry I'm not riding this roller coaster with you all.

Simply put. Everton don't sign TOP players. 99% of the time we sign potential, make then top players and then other teams take them from us. Like i've said somewhere else today, the only other transfer that got me this excited was Kanchelskis 20 years ago.

Only player close to that level I can think of was Heitinga, he'd just featured for a very strong dutch side in WC 2006 and Euro 2008, though I guess those teams weren't known for the quality of their back 4. Not Yarmalenko's level, but I remember being very excited about signing a 25 year old prominent dutch international defender. Van der meyde may have been up there too.
