I've probably missed a fair bit if I'm honest, I'm sat here choking on your last post and can't see the screen through my tears.

ASL mate?
had to look that one up..so you can probably guess the age range....but if I am in with a shout I am 23 female and live in a nice bit of Aintree. no webcam before you ask

I agree with your point mate, but Marquinhos did go for huge money, plus he had played about 50 games. Stones is similair in that regard.

Are we a selling club ? Not really, only fellaini, arteta, rooney and lescott have gone. I think all four, maybe three without rooney, put in transfer requests, only rooney had to be sold due to financial restraints.

United and Arsenal have sold Ronaldo, Henry, Tevez, Nasri etc etc.... neither would be described as a selling club so why should we ?

Maybe because teams like united can sell a Tevez and replace with a Van Persie, can sell a Nasri and replace with a Sanchez.

What are we gonna do, sell Stones and replace with a Varane? Don't be stupid we'd clear debts and get someone for £5-10m.

Comparing those sorts of transfers is just stupid.

Be that as it maybe...but most of us have seen enough of him to believe he will...and Chelsea certainly have
Oh, i dont think he's done by a long shot. And i dont want to sell him. But im pragmatic and try to see both sides of the coin. I said i can SEE both sides of the argument here. No way do i want him gone, he's absolutely ace.

Not really about who we bring in, the point im making is that when city bought nasri, arsenal couldnt do much to resist, the money was there and the player left. Same with Tevez at United, Ronaldo with Madrid, the point i they werent described as a selling club, we sold four players in the last 10-12 years and were always labelled a selling club.

In my opinion, transfers happen to every club so why are we named the selling club ?

I've heard this argument a few times and it always puzzles me - its not like the board require the good will of supporters to conduct their business. Will a few banners and angry from Runcorn on talksport really bring about the change at the club that some people seem to think is necessary??
If there is enough of it it will, problem is the dissent has been shouted down by the majority who think we ought to thank Bill for averting administration and a tumble down the leagues.

Worked for that lot across the park didnt it?

We're not a selling club per se but have a habit in the past of selling our best young, English talent because we can't afford to say no. United etc. CAN afford to say no but they know they can replace, we don't. If we sell Stones after saying he's not far sale how are we anything but a selling a club?
