Everton don't want to sell Stones even though he may want leave. Kiev don't want to sell Yarmolenko even though he may want to (probably wants to) leave. Chelsea would need to spend huge money for us to consider changing our tune. Looks like Everton would need to spend huge money (at least for a guy in his last year of contract) to get Kiev to consider changing their tune. I want Yarmolenko as much as the next guy, but at a certain point we have to commend our negotiating team for not lining up to pay stupid money. The difference between Chelsea and Everton are that we don't have stupid money to spend. Plus, the walkaway is a pretty fair negotiating move and may turn out okay. Context is key.

It's clear that if these two south americans sign they are a pieces in that long term plan. I have nothing against that but third signing just has to be kind of s player that can be seen a opening XI player and who can instantly lift our team a notch or two. Lennon is good player but he wouldnt make us considerably better that we already were last season

Reckon Lennon will sign once we've played Spurs. They would've looked silly selling him to us and then him playing great against them. A much more useful squad player than McGeady, Naismith, Osman right now in the way Roberto wants us to play imo.


...still need that marquee number 10 signing though...
