Plus he signed Galloway, and he looks very promising. Holgate too but obviously that's far too early to judge.

Mind you, they're all potential-based signings. Can Martinez sign a CB to slot in and be ace right now?
Buying any player, defender or not is not an exact science, sometimes it works out, sometimes not. Even Moyes signed a couple of duffers

And the same will apply to Chelsea buying Stones, admittedly with less risk. He is way off the finished article, the move is all based on potential not necessarily what he is now.

I like your positivity but we shouldn't be selling in the first place

I know mate, I was thinking that myself but we shouldn't have players here who don't want to play for us if he wants to go we should just try and get as much money as possible and buy some naughty playmaker and another boss striker and try and find a decent CB

Sorry, lost all respect for Stones. He knew the situation, why did he leave it this long to own up to being disloyal, and completely driven by money. We will not spend any of it on transfers because as a club we have no effin' clue how to do that and anyway anyone we are interested in we would get priced out of any deal as the selling club will know we just got a ton of money from the Stones deal.

As for our transfer policy, or lack of it - do you REALLY believe we in for Yarmolenko? I don't. We were not in it for Shaqiri either. Made up crappy journalism to increase his price to his favored club, and also our beloved club always comes out with a 'big' name whenever there is a crisis - to make it look like they are doing something. The whole thing just sucks!

Sorry for the rant, a little frustrated today with Everton, Stones, Chelsea, Mourhino. 4 names that are as depressing as anything this summer. What the club SHOULD do though is say ok, Chelsea, you want Stones, he wants out but you have to pay us $50m+ for your new bench warmer.

Why should a player like Stones want to stay at a club with no ambition whatsoever, when he has a club with lots of ambition knocking on his door?
