This window went wrong when we had to drop a nickname for a certain member of the Everton staff.

....not sure where these links come from, only played one senior game I presume he was identified in youth tournaments. Only 19, I suppose we work more in the 'potential' rather than the 'proven' markets so there might be something in it.

Guessing Martinez keeps an eye on the Spanish B leagues mate as that bloke played their i think, also probably knows Deulefeu from the youth set ups etc

Tend to agree. Think that Lennon represents/symbolises stagnation for us weirdly...eventho we all know he's good.

If we could get rid of mcgeady and bring in Lennon to replace him along with a good playmakrr it would be a good move, but to only bring in Lennon would be a bit underwelming

but people keep putting the likes of lennon and jakub in there little 'would you be happy with' when the answer would always be no, because it doesn't solve our main issue.

i'm sure you'd see it through the thread, also the people suggesting a striker like austin.. which would immediately rule out having the funds to get the type of player we need

Maybe the plan is to loan one in if we can't get our main target, then use the funds for a striker this window?

I'm not ITK by the way but then again nobody knows really.

The fact we've only spent 4.5 mil so far wins any argument mate, I'd love nothing more than them to go out and get a boss playmaker like we need whether he cost 10 mil or 30 mil but so far the evidence stacks up o the same old same old.

The fact we've only spent £4.5 million reflects that the window is still open and we can still bring players in. There's no evidence at all to stack up to what you suggest has happened mate - in fact we have very strong evidence on this forum that we tabled a bid of over £15m for a Ukranian playmaker, which was accepted at the level (ie. we weren't lowballing) but a rather maverick and egotistical owner then decided not to sell.

Give it a chance mate! If we're still in the same position in 72 hours time I'll be right there with you.

Not sure mate, i'm certain we'll get some bodies in on deadline day but i just hope it's ones that we actually need.

If he didn't get a number ten or whatever it is he's been speaking about for months then it'd be pretty disappointing
