The Echo:

Why would you turn away interest on a player coming up to 30 who's hopeless as a footy player when some mugs are offering to take the divvy off your hands?

Astounding.

Getting rid of that feller could have freed up cash for a much needed loan.

Selling permanent players to pay for loan deals? Strange economics there. Naismith's value on the pitch outweighs what we'd get in a transfer fee. At the moment he is our backup striker. In a few hours can we bring in someone to replace him? Probably not.

As mad as this sounds, I honestly believe that Martinez thinks he's a fans favourite.

Biggest fraud in the squad. Big mouth on the pitch, falls over a lot but cant play football...and cons everyone off the pitch with his massive PR self promotion on charity...which he does anonymously of course.

When this squad sheds rubbish like him, then you'll know we're serious about achieving something. An utter dog of a player.

It's all Vinny O Connors fault, just standing there with practically nothing to say.
Use your imagination , make up a few rumours the more far fetched the better, exorbitant sums being spent , so many players coming and going they had to put in a turnstile at FF keep a record.
We don't mind, we are used to silly rumours and thrive on them.

Bring on Chris Kamara , I say, spit flying everywhere, wrong names, not have a clue what club he is at..."It's all gone crazy here Jeff "...
Unbelievable Jeff.

The thing is, realistically we have no competition anywhere in our first 11 anymore. This is where we will go wrong, who have anyone got to challenge each other?

Howard- Robles dropped for him
Baines- First choice (fair enough)
Jags (captain and only have mori to replace with)
Stones (again only mori to replace with)
Coleman (we have 0 right backs now to replace)
Barry - besic only
McCarthy - only really cleverley and barkley who both play when fit
Barkley - was meant to be signing another player like him, apparently not.
Mirallas/del/Mcgeady/piennar- Well speaks volumes who gets picked over who there
Lukaku- has kone, only kone as back up.

Point is, one or two players to challenge in key areas would have seen a increase in hard work on the pitch. Our players can casually swan around the pitch knowing chances are there is noone to drop them for. No wonder we struggle.

sell naismith, but austin...simple

may niot be a 'no 10' or whatever but its a definite improvement for not too much outlay

oh well...
