Ok, so while I don't think there is reason for a proper fume meltdown, I am very disappointed with us not signing the playmaker Martinez has been banging on about for the last 3 months.

On the whole though, I'm quite happy with Deulofeu and Cleverly as squad players. Signing Deulofeu on a perm is not something I had ever anticipated, we knew Lukaku wanted out of Chelsea and we had a chance but I honestly didn't picture Deulofeu being a registered Everton player.

As for Mori, he gets the benefit of the doubt for the first season. He will be called everything under the sun if he turns out crap and Van Dijk is amazing.

I can get behind the signings of the youngsters, I hope one or two are challenging the first team for starting places by the end of the season.

This is a really good post.

Fantastic financial backing by the board for Martinez ... a fantastic example of burning ambition and determination to maintain the success of finishing 11th!!!

Oh, and congratulations on paying £9.5m after agreeing the £6m for Ramiro!

Ah well.

Not sure how to feel about the inactivity on the No 10 front. I'm hoping we had someone ace lined up, and because of CL its not going to happen until January.....rather that than spend money on someone we didnt really fancy.
Clearly, Barkley is lined up for the No 10 spot

It's beautifully captured, i just can't quite work out what it means *scratches head*

I think people who were saying they would give this window a grade 'B' are massively overestimating the quality of out current players and those we have brought in tbh.
If WBA or Sunderland or West Ham had signed Mori, Rodriguez, Cleverley and Lennon we'd be laughing at them.

Your first sentence contradicts the second.

Martinez had the money - he didn't use it.

Pathetic, just as I called, just as we all knew (apart from the fickle fans that love Bill "biggest Evertonian I love the club cried to me mum mortgage my house" Kenwright and take what he says as gospel)

Nice number 10 Roberto.

You know I genuinely hope he walks out tonight citing "lack of support from the board".

Then people protest, the board gets investigated and Elstone gets thrown in jail for being part of a fraudulent pyramid scheme (Power8).
