I know everyone is all for selling Naismith, Gibson, McGeady etc. all in one window but as it was the last day and quite apparent we weren't doing much I reckon that would have been a detrimental move culling the squad with our injury records.

Does anyone know if there was any truth in the Bernard loan rumours, was told by someone who's normally bang on with these kind of things it was possible (just before 6pm), probably nonsense.

Also what happened with the Andrade kid we had on trial, went back home sick & now joined Bournemouth, any ideas?
It was possible in the sense that all we had to do was say yes to it. We however had never any interest. After the owner of Shakhtar said there was no truth Martinez said there was no interest from us.

Cats are pure evil.

Squad is bulked up with crap tbh - a decent number ten in, and surely we could have sold Naismith, fixed up a loan for McGeady, sacked Gibson (we've got every right) and maybe paid off half of Pienaar's contract and got him to go too.

We should still be looking to loan out Henen, Rodriguez, Galloway (once Baines is fit), Pennington and Holgate too.

Craps maybe a bit harsh but the squad is indeed bulked out with players no genuine top 4/6 contender would go near.

We shouldn't have to panic buy we have had months to get one.
Months? We have literally been looking since we lost out last season and had to panic loan Atsu.

We've done the same thing two seasons in a row. That's what the really unbelievable part is. Why is it so hard to replace Pienaar.
