Call me a pessimist but I think we need at least 5 players bringing in (not going to happen but we do need them to improve)
Is there anyone who can honestly say they felt confident with our squad last season? Because I didn't! Not once did I think we've got this game in the bag (not premier league anyway)
We need someone to challenge Lukaku (Even Martinez has lost patience with Kone - FINALLY)
A number 10 (unless Cleverly is the creative genius we've been looking for!!)
1 winger, 2 if McGeady goes (Please)
Another CB (need someone to challenge Jags - looked amateurish for a lot of the last couple of seasons)
And a new keeper (between Jags an Howard felt like we could concede every time the opposition attacked)
Agreed we need to bring kids through but that's going to take time (and for Martinez to give them a go) Ross had his worst season at the club last year but I can't blame him, I think you can over protect players! He's not a kid anymore and needs a full season, not drop him every 2 to 3 games.

I think Kone is ok, and got a raw deal from fans. He scored a cracking goal against Newcastle, and had just come back from being out for around 15 months.

We don't need another striker for a season of 45 games.....we alsohave Naismith, Long and Henen who could sit on a bench, and watch Lukaku play footy matches.

Unfortunately the money issue does have a baring on who we can bring in, and that is were my expectations are derived from....what we can afford, not how great or glorious we think our name is (not saying that's how you think).

Henen and Long are both likely to be on loan. Whilst I would say that Kone is not to blame for his 'disjointed' career at Everton and that a lot of abuse he receives is thus unwarranted... I don't think we can criticise any fans for not seeing what you do, mate. He has shown glimpses of good control/hold-up play but even before his injury the stats were kind of damning. We need someone who can support the 'goal-scoring duties', especially if Mirallas goes.

Naismith is as a good a striker as we're likely to be able to attract to sit on our bench. And we already have him.

Does anyone have one of these sat on their bench waiting for the top boy to get injured ?????

I though the idea was to get goals from other area's, (like our terrible poor wingers attacking midfielder slat season) and maybe even try and change the play, to get wins and points. Whether Kone gets the goals for me is completely irrelevant, if the team are getting points, and his is contributing in holding the play up.

Problem for me is we seem to be sat still regarding this playmaker, add Mirallas's uncertainty Martinez needs to address both of these within the next 2 weeks imo, obviously they were back yesterday so I would be expecting Martinez to either offer Mirallas a new deal (or as I expect) to allow him to leave, maybe that's when we'll have the money for this "playmaker" as no doubt he'll keep to Barry and Mccarthy at CDM meaning Barkley will be behind Rom.

Where/when has he said that mate? Link us up.

He was outstanding from Christmas onwards, and our best player. I think you're being unbelievably harsh.

We've signed 3 players and it's still July. Don't expect any more until August.
Most likely, but hasn't Bobby said he wants to finish his search for players ASAP? No WC to delay the deals either.

The club is probably working with deals as we speak, we need fresh blood and Bobby knows it. Players will come.

Wasn't great at the start of the season, everyone would agree. Then again neither was the rest of the squad.

But he was one of the most consistent performers after the initial blip. To call him amateurish is unfair.

SSN saying they spoke to everton earlier and we never confirmed the reports today linking us with Ogbonna but said we want a CB coming in and any incomings won't be to replace any of the current squad of players.

Good news and bad news today, United seem to have landed the RB Darmian and West Ham seem to have landed Ogbonna.

Sure I read Bobby is prepared to wait till the end of the window for one specific player.....I think that could be Lennon, could be wrong tho.
