where do people find these weird websites? they're probably stats compiled by a fat guy on the sofa eating tortilla chips taking wild guesses based on fantasy football points.

It really is though. It's used by Sky Sports and BT Sport amongst other media outlets. Bookies even take bets on highest rated played, based on ratings from WhoScored.
In fact Opta also get their stats from it.
