It really is though. It's used by Sky Sports and BT Sport amongst other media outlets. Bookies even take bets on highest rated played, based on ratings from WhoScored.

In fact Opta also get their stats from it.
It means nothing unless the FM/FIFA player ratings are based on it :coffee:

No idea if this is true but there aren't a lot of other reports even this tenuous linking us to players
@TheToffeeTalk: Reports in Scotland suggest that Everton watched Celtic's Virgil van Dijk in last night's CL qualifier. #efc

I hate this kind of link, of course we bloody did. We've got a team of scouts and there's no other competitive football on, it's just something to fuel a story.

Italian reports claim Everton are back in the running for Inter man Xherdan Shaqiri after problems with Schalke 04. The creative midfielder only joined from Bayern Munich in January, but is no longer part of Coach Roberto Mancini’s plans.

Shaqiri, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Yuto Nagatomo have all been left out of the Nerazzurri squad travelling to Istanbul for a friendly against Galatasaray, confirming they are on the exit list. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Everton have spotted the problems in finalising a transfer to Schalke 04 and dived back into the race for Shaqiri.

The Swiss international had previously turned down a move to the Premier League for Stoke City, even after the clubs had agreed terms. He could be willing to reconsider his position if Everton were to come in with an offer worth €16m.

Inter are desperate to get him off their books, having signed him from Bayern Munich on loan with mandatory option to buy for €16m. However, he is so far turning down every move offered to him.

I know not everyone agrees but I really think he could be a real difference maker for us so I'd like this to be true.

Which means it won't happen.

All of that worries me a little bit. But I have never ever heard of him tbh.

Me too, although some in the Inter board thread seem to feel he is their only saleable asset that they can get a decent price for, rather than an attitude problem which is what really concerns me after the while Eto'o drama.

Inter7 There has to be something deeper to this Shaq attack wasnt that poor must be an attitude thing.
Cal - Not convinced myself. There was always going to be at least one sacrifice and I think we were set to sell Kovacic this summer but the only offer we had on the table was a ***** 20 mil from liverpool. Icardi is Thohir's poster boy so it wasn't going to be him, which leaves Shaq. I think it's just as simple as that imho, he was outperformed by Hernanes but wasn't that bad such that he deserves this treatment, we're just going about his sale in a very clumsy way to put it as nicely as possible.
