Only way to do it. No way we could buy a Stones once he's come to the attention of everyone (seemingly even Chelsea can't) snapping them up early and gbling is out only chance of having true quality at the club. For all their limitations as managers Moyes/Martinez's long term planning for the club has been very good.

I'm holding out hope he's got a long term plan but navigating the medium term may be troublesome for him.

I like him developing the young lads much more than Moyes was ever prepared to. So that's a start.

The loan option would suit us as it would allow the money this window to go towards a striker or No 10.
