If the papers are to be believed Everton and Stoke met the valuation but Shaqiri just didn't fancy them. The other clubs that Shaqiri has wanted to go to either tried to get him for less or have been waiting to sell before buying.

I hardly remember anyone banging down the door to get him straight into the first team.
Could just be a case of the clubs he has gone to have been a great fit for him and he has improved a lot over the last couple of years

Not gonna get him although was quoted as something like season-long loan with option purchase for 15m euros. If it was available would be decent with the influx of Colombians in the league. Promising but raw player. No links though.
