people aren't clocking on that sergi roberto is nothing like a creative midfielder, at all yet?

he does not, will not and will probably never play behind the striker as a creative midfielder.
If that was at my post before I never said he was a creative midfielder just that there was a strong link to us loaning him from a source I believed and I still think we will get him as a good versatile addition to the squad as I don't think he's at Barca level yet even though he's looked good in friendlies (so have McAleny and Browning but I don't expect them to start many if any games this season).

If that was at someone else then cool

If only you were as inventive with your attempted rips as your mother is with her sexual positions.

Sergi Roberto is not an attacking midfielder. He is not what we need. You have been told this by people who actually watch football.
You have been told this by people who have watched most of Sergi Roberto's games.
You have been piped down by some placcy Barca fans when you tried to win an internet argument.
Have a gold star kiddo
Sergi Roberto: “Luis Enrique told me he had confidence in me. Without Xavi and me possibly at full-back, I could get more chances.”

But I suppose you don't think Xavi was a playmaker. But sure go and disagree with the manager of Barcelona. That is all I will say on the matter since there's absolutely zero chance we sign him.

Be absolutely livid if we sign Evans over Van Dijk. In fact I will be livid if we sign Evans full stop, he is absolutely turd have some of you never seen him play!!!?

Don't bother mate, this place is full of wannabe mods telling people what they should or shouldn't post, logic only irritates them to strive for a new level of 'look at me' faux censorship.

Any idiot who has watched Roberto would see that he is adept at playing in most midfield positions a bit like Fabregas was. It's almost irrelevant anyhow because the lack of creativity in our team means you could probably put Pique at number 10 for us and he'd still be our most creative player.

When you start talking about positions or tactics they get scared because their knowledge of football derives only from what they've been told by Sky pundits. It's their default defence mechanism. I enjoy your posts mate and am growing increasingly tired of this place trying to shut down anyone having a conversation that's the slightest bit outside the pre-approved party lines.
Flagging this as I find disrespectful after @the esk just made it clear to stop being tits, jarg Jose lad.

You say this, but Barca fans, fans of the club the player plays for, they have even said he isnt a creative player and hes not, would be great if you could provide his stats, to maybe back up this claim. Hes a DM, my cat has more creativity in her left paw then Sergio Roberto.

Tried and tested and overpriced compared to alternatives out there.

What other centre forwards who have scored 18 premier league goals and are at a good age, with there best years ahead of him do you get for 12-15 mill max. Add in the English premium we'll get if we sold him on and Ged he a great buy.

Dann at 6-8 mill would have been a tremendous buy. Tried and tested, premier proven, one of the best defenders in the league last season. I don't want us gambling on an untried foreigner, we need someone to make a difference now.

Rubbish like Heitinga came here with huge reputations and were big names who was a waste of big money.

Questionable reading comprehension darling. He just said with him being able to play full back he'd have more opportunities to play.
Xavi played as part of a midfield three. Roberto would obviously have more chances to play in midfield with him gone. Doesn't mean his role would suddenly change to become an attacking playmaker.

Just done a quick statistical comparison (using WhoScored and Squawka's overall performance numbers). Of the strikers to join PL teams for less than £12 million over the past four years, all but two were below average to bad last season.

Anichebe, as it happens, was not in that group of two, but he was among the best. Genuine question: would people be happy if that was the caliber of striker brought in this month?

Yeah because if people disagree with you or counter your point, they have to be completely devoid of any knowledge of football.

I think we can and should bring in better. If we can't bring in quality on a permanent signing we should look to do it via the loan market.
