Transfer Window Thread

Other than totally unsubstantiated rumours of interest in Evans, Williams and/or van Dijk, does anybody have any genuine idea of who a target No.10 might be, or a target forward ??
Best guess would be Shaqiri, at least he is definitely for sale and at a reasonable price and there have been mild links all summer. But he doesn't seem to want to move and whether he really is what we need is debatable.

Am I alone in refreshing the transfer section of SSN repeatedly in vein hope that our badge appears in anticipation that this is all a big fat laugh and that big bad bill and the rest of the kroneys have just been taking the piss at our expense!!!!!

Checks again........ nope still no badge

ffs i need to get a grip, wheres me coat :pint2:

btw - Anyone who thinks Payet is going to be a flop I wouldn't get your hopes up.

But not to worry we have Naismith, Osman and Cleverly. Sometimes a player is worth the money.

What has this got to do with Everton? He's a West Ham player - we didn't buy him. Move on.

Correct

@Adversus - you were informally warned earlier today to stay on topic. Please refrain from going off topic again. Patience isn't my strongest point.

Are you not grasping this, it's no fault of his, all managers have their targets lined up going into a transfer window then it's down to whoever does the dealing for the club to sort it out. I'm sure he'd have wanted all his targets in for preseason but once again it seems like we've been waiting on the tv money to come in this month before we look at doing more buisness

You've clearly got some sort of adgenda against him too, stop trying to bitch and moan at any opportunity

Never mind an agenda against Martinez theirs too many who have an obvious agenda against the board (coming from someone who despises Kenwright) this is nothing to do with money because of 2 reasons:

1. West Ham paid £9 million for Ogbonna who thanked us in negotiations after choosing 1st team football and London FACT as much as those claiming the manager has no money like to try rewrite history and act like we had a mere interest and weren't in negotiations with the player.

2. Any Sky TV cash came in August and it's currently August 5th, this wouldn't have stopped us agreeing a deal with a club in July/talks with players which again one would assume would be picked up by atleast 1 media outlet out there.

Fact is as much as the Bobby Brigade don't like to admit it, he's used all of pre season to realise we haven't a player who can pick a forward pass and have a backup striker who couldn't net in a brothel. Phenomenal as they say.

I think the worry is that he said he had targets identified a while back. If they were identified, why haven't we moved before the season to get them integrated?

If we're waiting for financial reasons then fair enough. I just fear we've missed out on a few of our targets and we're now scrambling to try and find proper replacements.

All he can do is give a list of players he wants to the Board and then its out of his control.

It didnt take him all preseason to figure out we needed new signings. He said in May we'd get a few in quick and then wait til late in the window for others

I'm going with:

Jonny Evans done deal.
Aaron Lennon done deal.
Striker - who knows but Austin or Hernandez would do for me.
#10 - some awesome South American uber-skilled crackpot maverick.

... oh, and John Stones leaving Finch Farm in tears at 11.59pm on August 31st.

He's said since last season we need a player who can pick a pass.

We don't know anything financial side to the Ogbonga story, there has been no conformation we agreed a fee
