Why on earth would Martinez be the one negotiating directly with QPR anyway... Don't we have other people in charge of the financial side of things? Seems weird to me...

I think that's his trump card, hes like a charmer, so when he goes, its a done deal, you cant turn him down, hes just too good.

its those adjectives he throws in. irresistible to humans

If Charlie Austin comes here I'll feel much, much happier about our prospects this season. Proven scorer in a pretty poor side.

However, I sincerely doubt it will happen. Suspending betting isn't too unheard of if there's been a run on bets until they know more.

As some have mentioned, the fact Martinez is apparently in London has probably just added to this speculation.

Betting is only suspended because people like me and a few others had a dabble on 40/1 last night. Wouldnt have taken much to suspend the market.

Lies. The West Derby cash machine doesn't give out fivers !
Dam it! I knew it must have been too good to be true. Does that mean by source saying Messi is in the Fox in Speke must be wrong too?

Exactly as I said. The problem with social media these days is that a few suspect messages can soon spread it to a tidal wave of a story.

A story based on pretty much on speculation rather than any actual evidence.

Might not be QPR, could be Austin and his agent.
Moyes did it all the time, some players like it when a manager makes the effort to personally meet them and their agents. Makes it look like the manager is really keen and really wants them to join.

But i doubt he was meeting him or his agent like.

Newcastle have been in negotiations for a few weeks, had a 13 million pound bid rejected.

Now some of you think Martinez being in London is a sure thing we are signing Austin for under 10 million.

Seriously people, it's like saying Man City are going to buy John Stones from us for 16 million.

Get a grip.
