Barkley is much better in midfield than pushed up behind the striker, he looks alot more comfortable with the game being played in front of him.
He doesn't have the touch to play that No 10 position. It's not even his decision making. That has actually improved a lot. Today he chose the right pass when playing in Mirallas but just slightly over hit it when it wasn't a difficult pass to make. His long passing, shooting and dribbling however are top class. I also think that role as the play maker is a bit too much pressure for him now which might explain the lack of touch around the box but in a few years he will be some player.

There is no need to sugar coat your replies, I'm a big boy you can tell me what you think.
My reasons for thinking he might up the anti on Stones is that Chelsea play a lot of games in a season, Terry is no spring chicken, can he be relied on for all the challenges a team in the running for four trophies have to face. Also Jose is ruthless, he will change players, no matter who, if they aren't getting results. One more thing, they aren't strapped for a few quid.
Jose might also be fearful that if he doesn't get him now then in 12 months he might have progressed to the point where he's starting for England in the Euros and then City or Utd come in for him. I don't think Chelsea have the same financial firepower as those clubs.

There's no doubt about this. Martinez needs to lose that security blanket he insists upon playing or sell RB.

Definitely, the main reason Jose is after Stones now is to get him before his rivals come in for him. Almost a tactical move to prevent his rivals from getting stronger.

In 2/3 years time the way he is going, Stones could be playing for Barca, Real or Bayern. They're on another level to Utd and Chelsea
