Far from it , however Pochettino rates him. They also have Townsend who can play on the wing. If they wanted Yarmolenko so much, they would have bought him at the earliest opportunity.
You could say the same about us and any other signings we may try to make during the rest of this window.

Careful with that. Remember Ravenelli? Wasn't he paraded during a pre season game holding an Everton shirt? Think it was back in 1997? Anybody remember this?

100% certain that never actually happened, the only one i can remember who ever came very close to signing and walked away at the 12th hour was a brazilian guy who did not realise the Uk tax system was so expensive

Muller or Luis Antonio Correa da Costa is a World Cup Winning Brazilian who played in the 1986, 1990 and 1994 World Cups. He scored 12 goals in 56 games for Brazil and 112 in 331 domestic games in a career taking him from Brazil to Italy, back to Brazil, to Japan, back to Brazil, back to Italy, before finishing up in Brazil's third tier in 2004. In 1994, after winning the World Cup in the US, Mike Walker told the press that the application for a work permit was "out of our hands, and all we can do now is wait." Walker then called a press conference to announce the capture and that the player would be making his debut that weekend against QPR. However, Muller saw his backside when he was told he wouldnt get a free house, or car, and disgustingly and more outrageously, he would have to pay tax on his wages!! He walked out 30 minutes prior to the presser. He is now a Pastor.

well..if we truly are prepared to listen, we should understand OUR position of power.

they are desperate, he is young, british and a HUGE prospect for world football.

we should say. 40M take it or leave it.
I'd still be gutted to lose him for £40m to be honest, although I don't think we'd turn that down.
