The Boathouse for great food and on the Kata Beach sand.
Mom Tri's for the view on the rocks and access to Kata-Noi beach...local food.
Day & Night Phuket town for some live music in the evening
Patong for the seedy nightlife

You could try the Templo de Debod. It's a 2nd Century Egyptian temple transferred to Madrid in the 60s for conservation purposes. Great views of the city from the Mirador at sundown.
