Tokyo’s absolutely incredible isn’t it? Super easy and cheap to get around, found a amazing little cafe by my first hotel, and I got change for a fiver on 2 beers and a pack of cigarettes from a 7/11 last night - can’t go wrong really
Do you have a Suica card? You can pick one up and load some money for use on the subways, trains, convenience stores. Really convenient imo

Going to Mexico for 3 weeks from next Thursday. I’m going to places like Guadalajara, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Puebla, Merida, Chichen Itza etc.

So if anyone’s got any bar/food recommendations around those places, that would be great

Defo getting old. Coming back to Liverpool in January to see my folks and I have a 10 hour layover in Hong Kong (never been there before). In my younger days I'd've jumped straight on the Airport Express and had a few hours wandering around the city. I've just (shamefully) booked the airport hotel for day use so I can have a shower and a kip before the next flight.

I don't have any food recommendations, but I'm very jealous...spent about 4 years of my childhood in San Miguel de Allende. Would love to go back, though I hear it's changed a lot since back when I was there. Beautiful town with amazing churches. Some nice hot springs spas/pools outside of the town--Taboada, was the one we went to back then, though I'm sure its changed hands and called something else. Also, there was this little abandoned town called Atontonilco which had this crazy cool/creepy church...it was like a ghost town back when we went. Now I believe it's a world heritage site, it's out near the spas/pools on the road to Dolores Hidalgo, a city that used to be known for its various ice cream flavors, such as cheese, avocado, chile, etc. EDIT: found a link to this: https://rightbrainedengineer.blogspot.com/2014/10/crazy-ice-cream-flavours-in-dolores.html

Japan’s absolutely boss - probably having the funnest time of my life here (apart from today, I’m absolutely hanging after getting hammered all day yesterday with a Aussie girl I made friends with). Just got to Osaka so it’s time to hunt down some hangover cures and some nice food

Sounds excellent! Enjoy, and post some photos if you have the inclination.
