Travel thread 3.0

Looking for recommendation for Italian coast holidays. Looking at May next year as its wife's 50th!
Amalfi Coast? Cinque Terre?

Thanks in advance
Sicily - stay at Cefalu and you can go along the coast to Stromboli (climb an active volcano as the sun goes down) or the other way to Palermo. Hire a car and go touring the typical Godfather villages.
Added: thought the Amalfi Coast was overrated. Cinque Terre is good if you are into a bit of hiking and if the trails are fully open.

great thanks. Didnt think of Sicily will look into it.

That’s a fun series. The Knicks have underperformed for decades so there’s a lot of excitement about this year’s playoff run.
Just saw it’s going to a 7th game. Wouldn’t mind checking that out in a sports bar. Do the Knicks have plenty of support in NJ too?

Same, beautiful but samey.

Off to Corfu for a party, with a gang of mates in 2 weeks time. We were late to commit, so no cheap flights from London left. All crazy £ really.

Plan b now happening, flights to Tirana, Albania @ £45, then a 5 hour bus trip to Saranda @ £12, 3 night stop-over there, before catching the ferry to Corfu. Less than £100 quid for the 3 nights in what looks like a decent hotel in Saranda.

The Mrs doesn’t yet know the exact logistic details of our trip to Corfu. The wtf surprise at the Stansted departure gate should be fun !
This you ?

Funny but I love NYC
Lots of free museums
Visit Staten Island via ferry, eat breakfast then enjoy the view again on the way back
Central Park on a sunny day - walk or picnic
Subway to Coney Island
Bronx zoo
Visit different neighborhoods via subway to sample beer and food
Yeah love NYC, the weekly pass gets you in everything from subway, to ferry to the Roosevelt Island cable car. Been four times overall, three times with my family - we have stayed in Times Square twice now, I think that’s the only thing I would change next time. Went last August so imaging will be at least five years before we go again.

Forgot about hanging out in times square. We brought a 1 year old there at night. Sensory overload

Got back from my three week break last week and now just waiting for payday in two weeks to book my next one, which will be in the late Autumn, just after the October half term. Have purchased additional Annual Leave. But these two weeks just feel like a lull.
