We didn't end up going. Because it was off-peak the fares were almost double with less boats running so would have only been for a few hours.
But i will now strive to watch Albanian tv.

In NYC. Certainly not a cheap city is it?
It's an unpleasant city too. I really don't like the place. You can see the tourist bits cost effectively if you have a basic level of fitness. I took a subway to ground zero from times square and walked back. You can eat cheaply too if you find the cheap pizza places.

Lots of free museums
Visit Staten Island via ferry, eat breakfast then enjoy the view again on the way back
Central Park on a sunny day - walk or picnic
Subway to Coney Island
Bronx zoo
Visit different neighborhoods via subway to sample beer and food

Did about 160k steps in 6 days. Enjoyed the places I went to that were a bit more relaxed. Williamsburg, LES, Harlem, Upper East Side. Didnt make it to Bronx unfortunately. Still the one borough I haven’t been to. On the list for next time

In NJ now unfortunately. There was a Yankees game last week but my mate was not up for it. Might check if there are any games next week. Watched one of the Knicks playoff games in a sports bar though which was fun
Off to Riga for 3 nights next week. Any decent bar or restaurant recommendations?
Seems small enough to just walk everywhere tho and try lots of places. Will check a couple of museums too.

Off to Corfu for a party, with a gang of mates in 2 weeks time. We were late to commit, so no cheap flights from London left. All crazy £ really.
Plan b now happening, flights to Tirana, Albania @ £45, then a 5 hour bus trip to Saranda @ £12, 3 night stop-over there, before catching the ferry to Corfu. Less than £100 quid for the 3 nights in what looks like a decent hotel in Saranda.
The Mrs doesn’t yet know the exact logistic details of our trip to Corfu. The wtf surprise at the Stansted departure gate should be fun !
That’s a fun series. The Knicks have underperformed for decades so there’s a lot of excitement about this year’s playoff run.
