actually we looked a lot more stable defensively however creativity is non-existent at the minute.

We really need to invest in the midfield and creative options so if the rumours about Mata are true then he would be a signing we are desperate for.

BTW I have said it before Tom Cleverley is a crime against football we need to get rid

We still created as much as United though and had the better of the chances. I am delighted that we defended so well and proved that we can defend. That is first and foremost then we work on creating. 0-0 will be a blessing for me considering the past few seasons as long as we start getting a midfield balance then things will be looking good. Defence sorted first then go from there.

I agree that it was a bad thing to do, but I am sure he understood that and a stern talking to would have been enough and maybe one match not played. He is still an influential player for us and always has been. No offense to Cleverley, but Mirallas is more useful on the wing than him.

I agree. I'm talking about the ott reaction of people on here saying Kev was a "belgian fanny" who was trying to get a move and hated the club when in reality he just wanted to score a penalty to win the game

I agree but I think we did notice it was the problem before Koeman arrived. Our creativity from midfield has been poor

I certainly didn't think it was the problem. We had 5 senior players there not to mention one of them was the player of the year. I didn't think we were class by any means but central midfield was an area I didn't have us down as needing to buy for.

We actually need a complete overhaul. Davies just turned 18 and has shown all of them up literally by having a bit of energy about him.

Winning one cup does not make you a cup manager. Is Alex McLeish a cup manager? I prefer to look at the whole picture and judge Martinez and it doesn't make for pretty reading.
