Usmanov

It's the prem we have to be worried. They have double standards and guaranteed they would throw the book at us

It comes down to the clubs as it's a members organisation with voting rights. Do 14+ clubs want FFP enforced? If so we have to comply.

The Usmanov Paradox...No, nothing to do with Jason Bourne

Plenty of evidence that could shown his involvement...but If so, given this total clusterf sorry, dogs breakfast.
Where is he?
because somebody needs to sort these clowns out.

I'd just break FFP now, call the Premier Leagues bluff. If it means having a few seasons of 12pts deductions so be it, but by the time Bramley Moore is built we will have assembled a winning team.

Just seen 2 shady men in black suits like, in this heat on the beach. Both eating a mint choc Ice cream.

Been obvious for a couple of years that he was the puppet master, but mad how we’ve basically had it soft confirmed over the last few weeks and no one’s really arsed

Have I missed something here?

I've seen references to Usmanov being Moshiri's "business partner" and club sponsor, we all know he is the de-facto chief but he / Moshiri haven't done anything that would invite official attention that I can see.

The world and its mother know what's going on, but there is no official trail or confirmation.

There is nothing untoward about Moshiri, as shareholder of the holding company with a majority shareholding in the club, to seek a 2nd opinion from a "partner" or to involve a partner in the managerial hunt process, to whatever extent he likes.

Unsmanov's nephew being in the photos with benitez and commenting on the direction of the club probably hints that he's involved.

I would say it would be very strange mate, to allow someone not connected to the club to interview people for the key role in the organisation is ultimately select someone pretty much everyone involved with the organisation don't want.

I mean in the abstract I suppose it could happen, but I've never known it too.

I've known far more, that people want to own a football club/business and would do it through a conduit. That is not common, but it does happen.

I mean if people want to believe Moshiri is just coincidentally allowing Usmanov (the man who allegedly gifted him loads of money to buy the club) to interview people for the key role and it signifies not involvement then I suppose good on them. I have my view.

I'm not sure mate, it's all smoke and mirrors clearly, but you can say USM are a significant sponsor, and by virtue of that, the Chairman (of whatever his official title is) - Usmanov, has a material interest in being involved in the selection of the clubs manager.

There has also been talk that the stadium lenders and I mean book lenders here, took an interest in who was being appointed and leaned on Moshiri to avoid taking what was considered a "gamble" appointment such that Benitez was considered "safe".

I did think the presence of Usmanov's nephew was a bit odd yesterday though. Is he still connected with the women's team? Either way, it can be "explained" if anyone came calling and looking for an explanation. The fact that it can be, means that it won't.

I don't think he has a title and that's sort of the point. There are a multitude of logical reason's as to why he wouldn't want to be seen as formally involved.

I have to be honest mate, I've never known a sponsor to get to be involved in a recruitment process, never mind select the person, never mind select a key person. To me that's almost unheard of. That is normally the decision an owner would take, or in this instance an owner in all but name. That's the reality. On the scale of probability that is the by far the most likely scenario. Is it certain? Absolutely not, but on the balance of probabilities it makes most sense.

It's good his nephew is involved. It's likely he will inherited most of Usmanov's cash. He's currently running the women's team. It looks a lot like a succession plan to me. A lot of talk he goes onto the main board and people seem quite impressed with him.
