Let’s try and not get into personal attacks eh?

There are elements of posts by @catcherintherye that disappoint me and that I disagree with but, I wouldn’t go so far as to call him vermin.

The situation in Ukraine is understandably one that is highly emotive, and we all probably need to try and stay calm and try to respect different opinions.

Calling fellow Blues vermin won’t and doesn’t help.
?

Assembled in Japan and South Korea. Check where the constituent parts are made.
But of course we’re only focussing on things we see, not what generates the revenue that upholds the regimes.
Yeah a lot are actually made in places like India. I don't doubt what you are saying though, knowing the source of every single component inside a laptop is somewhat of a thankless task. There did used to be a list floating about which had a confirmed number of brands on if that where 'China free' as such.

The whole thing stinks of hypocrisy. And calling you 'vermin' for pointing out the realities of all this is abhorrent. People on here who would post kind words on that mental health thread are calling me a 'nutter' and a 'loon' and cant even see how 'kin thick they're being.

My crime, btw, was saying we need to get behind our own club's situation vis-a-vis our ownership (some seem to want to place our club into administration as the BBC tells them to hate people like our owners) and to allow balance in the attribution of blame (banners that profess support for any regime run by a professional 'comedian' and backed by nazi militiamen are not in my name, and we should be able to state that without being disparaged or told to GTF and STFU.

I think using words like vermin, or loon or whatever to essentially describe anti-war activists is really problematic. As is the word "traitor" that we are now seeing bandied about towards female MP's.

That's the consequence of the witch hunt we now have from our government, who themselves have been the biggest culprits in laundering Russian money. How much Russian money have Standard Chartered laundered I wonder? (An org who've actually been found guilty in a court for this stuff, not just have the crime of having to have a business that trades in Russia, or be born as a Russian).

Yet as soon as you turn the focus onto these questions there is no discussion, it just gets shut down, and names are launched. If people are so incredulous with anger, why can't they answer these points?

And why should I, or we as a football club take any moralism from a government that has financially benefited from donations far beyond anything we have ever done from Russian donations? If people can provide me answers to these perfectly reasonable questions, I am happy to re-examine my position. But nobody has thus far, I've had one person state to me something Margaret Hodge has intimated. Margaret Hodge the war mongering racist.

So yes, I'm happy as the next person to criticise Usmanov, as long as it's proportionate and consistent.

What a pity all the humanitarians virtue-signalling on this thread were so silent as the CIA overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine in 2014; when the local Nazis massacred Odessans three months later; when the US-controlled regime launched a full-scale military assault on the Donbass in 2015; assassinated & tortured political opposition as a matter of routine; denied the use of the Russian language; and burned down Orthodox churches.

Well, where were you?
Strange and vacuous statement.
How do you presume to know the the positions or actions of the ‘humanitarians’ as you put it at the time of the events you reference.
I also think it’s notable that you seem to use ‘Humanitarian ‘ in a vaguely pejorative sense.
Finally I find that the phrase ‘virtue signalling’ is most often employed by the reactionary right, it is a generally reductive phrase.

The whole thing is a circus of the grotesque. I cant take seriously any football fan conned into wanting to see the financial destruction of their own club - pretty much finishing it off as a top flight organisation for generations.

How football fans get into that position is beyond me, but there we have it.

Not often I agree with you, take it you did seek medical advice about dementia after our recent convo's and your tablets are kicking in, the result is you've made a lot of sense here, well done mate, fair do's.
...oh look, it's back with a new set of dementia insults...

I just don't understand how people think looking for a peaceful is some sort of crime against humanity.

Russia aren't releasing control of this situation in months or even years. This is for keeps.

Strangely is Russia succeeds the conflict will be over quite quickly, with a puppet government in place and troops withdrawn, probably with the Ukrainian leader signing agreement.

It's going to be very hard to justify sanctioning random Russians at that point.

The best solution is to avoid that eventuality, and come to a peaceful agreement now. Randon acts of russophobia directed at anti-war Russians won't help that.
