No the alternative is us playing in a future EPL in which the Euro league clubs have no representation what's so ever and are never let back in when the Euro league goes tits up.
Exclusion would never happen. The future Euroleague will have all the tV money, all the best players, and all the global fan support. The EPL will have what's left. And that will include the Euroleague clubs' reserve outfits.

It may or may not happen but it would certainly concentrate the minds of said clubs if they are told they will not be readmitted to the league once they've decided to leave.

Our new stadium cannot really be considered a "key property development in England"!

No perhaps not on it's own, but the wider renovation project of that area of Liverpool can be.

Wowzers!

I have never seen it quoted as high as that mate but very happy to take your word for it. Game changer isn’t the word for it.

The wealth of all 3 is likely to be a fair bit higher than the reported figure. I imagine they have dealings in areas that are not formally reported and acknowledged by Forbes (who have said as much).

They are mixed up with some serious people too. As I said earlier in the thread, Gazprom which Usmanoc has some involvement with (though it is questioned how far) is 50% owned by the Russian state and many other wealthy individuals. I'm pretty sure I've seen them sponsoring boards at Goodison?

The consortium Moshiri was involved with to be the Liver building was worth 40 billion. They clearly mix in serious money.

I don't know if you've watched Breaking Bad. Think about the wealth Saul has from helping certain individuals. It's significant, but a lot less than the individuals he's helping.

@catcherintherye There is a definite sense now that this is our Get out of Jail Free card. Our last chance to break from the mire and get back to being real contenders.

Ancelotti’s appointment and the Bramley Moore planning application must surely give even the most pessimistic of Blues a sense of greater things ahead.

I'm not sure I'd be quite so dramatic. I've heard this peddled for 2-3 years and whenever we have failed another chance has come. It presents a really good opportunity. With the money we have to spend, and such a good manager, we ought to make a better fist of it.

It’s not dramatic though. Moshiri wants success but misplaced his trust in those he thought could deliver it. The will and money is still there though.

If he funds a tried and tested Ancelotti and we don’t significantly improve our lot then we all may find a different sport.

Uncle Usy bringing Mr Ancelotti to Liverpool this evening

Still a bit mad how poor Koeman went for us...
