USMNT

The thing I like about this US side is that guys like Adams, Dest, McKennie and hopefully Pulisic if he can stay fit play with a lot of confidence. They know they're better than some of these teams and they play like it.

If we can find a real #9, this squad has the talent to compete with most. In 2 years we could cause some real problems, but only if we’re not playing the likes of Zardes up front.

He’s great. Can see him on this channel whenever he plays for Bayern II.

Thanks Nymz. Seeing young Americans now actually playing for the likes of Juventus, Leipzig, Barca, Chelsea, Dortmund, and Bayern is quite a nice change for us. Was only 3 years ago we were losing to Trinidad to be denied a place at the WC. Feels like a “The night is darkest just before the dawn” type thing at the moment.

Got a really good bunch of kids. Was impressed with them at... some World Cup when Weah scored a load. Glad to see Josh Sargent finally starting for Werder now. Think he’s a great striker.

That’s what happens when your best players are playing in Europe and they’re with clubs that know they’re good. You don’t get that kind of confidence playing in MLS where anyone can win any week.

Yeah absolutely. I mean the main thing that cost us in the 2018 cycle was the main players coming back to MLS and collectively dropping a few levels because the league stinks. Unfortunately no one in US soccer media is allowed to point that out because they'll be shut out, so no one talks about it. But the players seem to know which is all that matters.

That drove me nuts when after 2014 you had guys going back to the mls or turning down opportunities like that bum who turned down the bundesliga to stay in Seattle

Bradley coming back to MLS at 26 when he was pretty much a regular starter in a good Roma side (looking up some stuff they had not lost a match before the January window when he wanted to leave in 2014) is by far the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. I can't stand the guy now really.

Yea Bradley has frustrated me a lot over the last 6-7 years. Won't miss him, hope we're finally set up to be done with him and altidore.

Altidore unfortunately still has a chance to push himself into a really questionable center forward group but Bradley doesn't need to be anywhere near the team with Adams and McKennie around.

I completely agree, but i see berhalter keeping them around in a larger than deserved role. He doesn't have the attitude Klinsmann had to do them like he did that narcissist Landon.

Unfortunately US Soccer runs both the National Team and MLS to a large extent and as a result wants each to build on each other. This means they put a yes man in Berhalter in charge who won't do what really should be done and just cut off the MLS except for extreme cases because the league generally isn't even Championship standard and isn't going to keep players at an international level. Playing Concacaf sides should be a step down for the US players and it hasn't been that when MLS supplies the squad.
