It was never going to be our year. I would take getting out of the group if you offered it to me right now.Pretty ugly stuff here
Our best shot at making some noise is four years out.

Yep. And then we try and press them and they beat it with one pass.We look like we're expecting them to play with no intensity and just watch us pass
This team isn't bad. Today's issue is intensity imo, they're getting outworked and that shouldn't happen in a world cup matchIt was never going to be our year. I would take getting out of the group if you offered it to me right now.

Not saying it's bad, just that it's not quite ready for prime time. This team isn't bad. Today's issue is intensity imo, they're getting outworked and that shouldn't happen in a world cup match
I'd agree with that assessment. I think it will be a very tight group with all 4 teams having a chance of getting through, but I'd probably make England and Wales slight favourites to get through. Thought I am curious about Iran under Queiroz too. They were a kick away from getting out of a much more difficult group in 2018 and they have a sort of home advantage this time too. I'll reiterate again that getting knocked out by Wales and/or Iran is a failure and should cause heads to rollI'd agree with that assessment. I don't believe so. I think you're underestimating them.I'll reiterate again that getting knocked out by Wales and/or Iran is a failure and should cause heads to roll
I'm not, they have a lot of championship or relegation standard players who will be playing and we should not be losing to them.I don't believe so. I think you're underestimating them.
We have more talent than both. Not an easy ask but if we can’t advance ahead of them, it’s a failure.I don't believe so. I think you're underestimating them.
Not sure you have more talent than Wales. I would say it's quite close run there. You have more talent than Iran. But as mentioned Queiroz's Iran have caused better teams than England, Wales and USA some problems in the past. If he can get them playing like they did in the previous 2 world cups then they might sneak through. I should also say that although favourites, I don't think England are by any means guaranteed to get through either. It will be very tight and difficult to call. But if I had a gun to my head I'd probably go with England and Wales to get through. We have more talent than both. Not an easy ask but if we can’t advance ahead of them, it’s a failure.
Wales have Ramsey and Bale who are both past their peak and then what? Brennan Johnson is fine, I guess Ben Davies still works, and then you've got Joe Allen and Neco Williams? Not sure you have more talent than Wales. I would say it's quite close run there.
