I think one thing that other Yanks forget is that it isn't an anti-American thing, it's a wholesale sort of discrimination based off your country's footballing history (or lack thereof).

This is true. It's the same for Canadians, Icelanders, Asians (although I think Japan is breaking through), etc.

Basically if you're not European, West African, or South American, your price will be lower. A lot of that is because of perceived discrimination, but a lot of it is purely statistics. You're not likely to find Prem quality Americans (non-goalkeeping division). There may be a few, but the percentages play against those nationalities. And truthfully, with the job security of most managers, they always will.

Thought this was a strange story. Doesn't seem like a Bob thing to say. I reckon he was answering a point blank question. In all honesty it is curious that Bradley was never even linked with Arsenal given the happy timing. He's probably better than present day Arteta.

big call that. Arteta was a top top class player in his prime. Admittedly I haven't seen much of Bradley for a while but I didnt think he was as good as that. Very decent player but not of that level from what I'd seen.

I know mate...big call indeed. Bradley's really good tho...massively impressed with his growth. I honestly didn't think he had it in him to get to this point. Would have loved to see him in an Ebepton shirt.

Fair shout, but I've posted my share of bollocks recently so I didn't want to push it too far. Bradley wants to lead a top club to honors, so we could still see some movement with him in the next year or so. I don't think he'll be satisfied at TFC.
