Vaping could be as bad for the heart as smoking cigarettes, a new study suggests.

The findings triggered warnings that electronic cigarettes may be “far more dangerous” than was thought.

Trials found that a typical session using a device caused similar effects to the main heart artery as smoking a cigarette.

The research, presented at the world’s largest cardiology conference, comes amid growing controversy about the safety of e-cigarettes.

Smoking is the leading cause of preventable diseases and deaths in the UK. Vaping is going to need to be found to be pretty bloody bad to justify the 'even worse than smoking' claims! All serious studies have so far concluded that vaping is safer than smoking, but of course, that's 'safer' as opposed to outright 'safe'.

Yes, there are actually government guidelines on this now for employers, outlining the very specific differences between smoking and vaping. So far, all tests conducted on the effects of second hand vapour say it poses absolutely no threat to public health.
