I hate watching us play City. Not only are they the best side in the league, but you also know that the ref will give them everything.

Yeah exactly. I'm not sure when it became difficult to spot the difference between a deliberate handball and someone getting a cross blasted at their hand, but I suppose that's why I'm not one of those big shot intellects at the PGMOL.

Yet again done over by a poor ref. He never gave the pen. Someone told him to, is this not an abuse of var? What’s the point of him being on the field if someone sitting behind a screen will give it for him? If I was Everton I would be asking for the audio to be released. Shocking in my opinion. And a lot of people at the other clubs won’t be arsed, like ourselves, because they are being very well paid anyway. The game is gone imo. Why do you think so many won’t push for better or speak out?

It’s a penalty under the current rules. We can argue all day long about whether we would’ve got it or other decision in the past. But under the current rules - which badly need changing as they’re a farce - it’s a penalty.

You are absolutely right, but as you also allude to that is not a decision we get at the Kop at any time during a derby. You almost feel gaslighted because you nod along when it goes against your team and accept that's the way it is these days, but when it's not given in our favour at a big club you'll have pundits far and wide justifying the decision.

But it never happens. When was last time linesman gave that decision in PL?
