I quite like the idea of it at a very basic level where its used as a failsafe. I've no problem with somebody watching the game and preventing miscarriages of justice like the hand of god or henry against Ireland but it just doesn't work as a system for constant use the game isn't cut out for it.Plus every time we see an offside decision the process of when/where they draw the lines never look right.
I just don't see how they can't use where a strikers lead foot is planted as he makes his run and then use the defenders feet. Would be a whole lot easier to understand and implement surely?
tbh though, I'd rather VAR just be completely binned. Someone mentioned before, it's actually got worse under Webbs watch and he seems incapable of steadying the ship. I'd rather take my chances on the amount of decisions that went against us pre VAR than this weekly pile of crap as in the last 10 days alone we've had DCLs disallowed goal against Spurs, pen against City which was just an absolute farce and then last night where DCzl tickles Clyne's shin.
Enough is enough
Potato tomato. Same infrastructure. It was the FA Cup not PL
Yeah it’s like they’re constantly nitpicking and looking for every little thing to try and justify their jobs.I quite like the idea of it at a very basic level where its used as a failsafe. It can’t ever work it’s impossible!I quite like the idea of it at a very basic level where its used as a failsafe. Still the same Refs and VAR just a different game formatIt was the FA Cup not PL
Correct.Yeah it’s like they’re constantly nitpicking and looking for every little thing to try and justify their jobs.
It’s being over-used imo.
If it was being used correctly, you’d hardly notice it was there.
It won't happen for sure... Many can't seem to get enough. But it's not for me.I agree, It’s never been so popular for the wrong people though!
The fans from all clubs are pissed with it and one of the great spectacles of the the PL is the full stadiums, fans from all clubs could put a stop to it by not attending, it won’t happen though
i don’t think I’m going to go the Villa game I can’t be arsed with it.It won't happen for sure... Many can't seem to get enough. But it's not for me.
Myself might as well be living darn Landon way again as going to less and less matches these days.
The lad and myself decided last season we won't go to see us against scab 6 last season because of VAR and the ways these games are officiated. Now seems to have crept in on all matches.
Watch them not overturn DCLs red on appeal, they have already have doubled down against Everton with the insane points deduction - why should they stop now.Get ready for the fa and pgmol to close ranks now and probably make another example of us.
No way they will overturn it, I swear they love the notoriety.Watch them not overturn DCLs red on appeal, they have already have doubled down against Everton with the insane points deduction - why should they stop now.
Chris Kavanagh has such a weird history with reffing Everton games...Fantastic stuff
Ex ref Hackett apologising to dcl and Warnock saying Pawson has something against Everton and referring to the derby he did
The messed up thing last night is the ref was having a good game for once
He even booked eze for a clear dive which we don’t see enough of
Then he’s called over by knob head Pawson to look at a super slow mo and feels obliged because VAR said so
Then he missed booking Eze for his second dive like he should have because he was probably in his own head after thinking he’d made a mistake which he hadn’t
