I've always had a lot of time for VDM, I've enjoyed his brief performances and thought he was good for the team and might come good given a chance.

But after this we should cut our losses, he doesnt respect our club and for that I cannot respect him, he should be sacked and DM should literally kick his ass out of town. (And nick his ferrari and crash it)
 

Its a shame to lose his talent. I think if he ever got his head down and worked hard he would be class. I might get shot down but if he ever got fit then I think he would be more o a talent than Arteta. His class has always shone through when he was on the ball but,obviously, not enough. To think of a fully working midfield of Osman, VDM, Fernandes,Peinaar, And Arteta all feeding Johnson is mouthwatering. I personally wish him all the best that he beats his own demons. He has mental problems without a doubt. Players with his talent don't come along often. I just wish we could have seen a 10th of what VDM has to offer.

I can say with pride I never gave him a moment's support he didn't deserve. We had the likes of Kilbane, Bent & Hibbert working their arses off and getting a load of [Poor language removed]. At least they understood what it meant to play in the royal blue jersey - but then again I'm not so sure. If [Poor language removed] like VDM get worshipped by some of our pathetic support, what exactly do we know as football fans?

I'm one that has supported VdM through the years.. I've critizied him when playing bad and when he's done stupid things, but still I know he have the ability to play great. Unfortunately that hasn't happened for us, and instead of taking his frustration, get angry, and give it even more in training to show his worth.. he has gone the wrong way... more than once. Unless he have a great and believale reason for doing what he did (which seems unlikely. If he had Moyes wouldn't suspend him) I think this was the final straw.

But RBJ, don't forget that VdM have suffered some undeserved ridicule as well from some Evertonfans on websites. I can remember when his house got burglared during training once, I think it was last season, and they took almost everything... even his puppy. And some fans took great joy in it and used that to heap more ridicule and such on him.
 
can this club afford to pay a drunken bum £20,000 a week for doing [Poor language removed] all, no, if the answer was yes I'd apply for the job. He should be shown the door for clear breech of contract, that must say about club discipline matters. If he refuses to go then sue for breaking that contract and the trades description act, footballer my backside
