We want our strikers to score goals. Since the beginning of 2012 when Victor has played he has pretty much scored goals. Nothing wrong with that.

it's funny because everyone says our team has a select players who are 'hard workers' and need replacing, but slate cheebs for not working hard enough even though he's proven recently he can score goals.

He technically scored 2 against newcastle ffs.

To be fair, working hard keeps you on the pitch on a David Moyes' team. So in a way, it's like a prerequisite to being an Everton player at the moment, something Anichebe can't do without no matter how many goals he scores.

6 in 16 last Season
2 in 3 so far this Season

Hes certainly making a statement with his goal scoring record, I suppose we should cut him some slack at the moment.

The appearance stats are quite pointless as well as most appearances have been subs ones. Like I said before, in the last season and this one (not including the disallowed goal) he's averaged a goal every 85 minutes in the prem.

Of course coming off the bench is a different kettle of fish but at the end of the day, Vic is scoring. It's a strange thing to say, but he is. And whilst he's scoring I'll be cutting him some slack!

Playing well currently lads, scored twice on Monday irrespective of what that fat **** linesman thought, and big enough to make a difference when we come up aghainst the cloggers. Excellent back up for Jelavic, and for late substitutions.

Hypothetical question..... if Moyes had brought on Andy Carroll against Newcastle and he scored 2 goals would that change your opinion of Andy Carroll based on the fact that most on here have slated him since leaving Newcastle.

honestly i would love carroll as a backup striker, i just don't love him 35mil worth, which i think is why a lot of people make fun of him

He's overrated and overpaid. I don't think he's terrible.

There's a difference. The former is relative to others' expectations, the other is an opinion of his ability.

So no, I don't think it would change my opinion. He'd still be a decent player who is overrated and overpaid.
