I was delighted and a great supporter when he broke through.

But this and some of the recent behaviour, and having seen him around personally and his behaviour off camera/photos etc...

makes me think he's HUGELY immature. And he doesn't realise what he is possibly throwing away at Everton.

Shame. But we shouldn't be held to ransom by someone being a dick.

Also does he know that most people's wages are frozen right now.... jesus his immaturity knows no bounds.

I would be very dissapointed if this is true. But again the club gives this attention 6 months before a players contract is due to run out - thats not good enough really.

to be fair like you wouldn't hear anything until they sign - like Baines coz the club don't publicise this type of thing,

unless one party is being obstructive.

Maybe mate, but we have known since early last year that Pienaar contract negotiations have been underway, i wouldnt be surprised if Anichebe wasnt at the top of the renegotiation list with injurey, other priorites and the fact we would be due compensation anyway, after the Gosling affair we shouldnt be relying on gentlemans agreements etc. The timeing of this seems terrible, two weeks before Jan and six months before his contract ends.

I think the club are saying "thats it" and have broken off negotiations.

Hardball mate. Sometimes it's needed. I don't do it enough. And in business its important to say... no and know when to walk away.

Its not always about saying yes and throwing money at it. That just allows you to be taken the piss out of in many cases.

I agree. We've got a wage structure in place to ensure that the club keeps it's head above water. If a player outgrows that or feels that they're worth more than we do, then there's no place for them. Vic has got potential, but he's hardly even established himself in the first team. At his age, as with Vaughan, he must be wanting to play every week, which is fair enough.

If anyone - after all the experience we have of the club's record in spinning against their own players - takes this as gospel without hearing the other side of the story, they need their heads feeling. This is what Everton do. They survive by shuffling players in and out the door for a profit (Gosling aside). Anichebe may be looking to get a good signing on fee elsewhere and move on. He might not. But the club are obviously doing the 'very professional and grown up' thing here by briefing hacks to tell stories in order to bring pressure on the player.

I distrust those who run this club and I'll always be prepared to see a player's POV before some ****er like Robert Elstone or Ian Ross every time.

Oh look it's Davek

Knew he'd wade in with the anti-club angle.

Ross Barkley signed a 2 1/2 year deal yesterday.

Obviously the club are incompetent.

Oh and another thing. I've heard and seen stuff from Victor himself, out of his mouth. Davek.

He is VERY VERY VERY IMMATURE for his age I'd say.

And this is just another example.

Never rated him and he'll never be a first team regular. We should get some compo for him, but even if we didn't we're better off without him. Arrogant with an inflated sense of self importance.

I've heard it from Victor himself. Out of his mouth. He is immature.

Naive indeed.

Yeah Davek.

I know the lad. You're talking out of some orifice other than your mouth. He's a decent kid.

I say again...anyone pepared to take at face value what Ian Ross spins in the press needs their heads feeling.

I've heard him. Mouthing off. So Lao's comment was extremely accurate.

You're disingenuous Davek. Very disingenuous.

Yeah that's kinda what I figure too, plus all the treatment, physio not to mention the coaching and knowledge gained from Moyes and co over the last few years, who have helped him develop into a decent winger.

Sorry, you can't marry these two statements together, and he's not even a decent winger. He should be bulldozing through the middle of defences with his build but goes down if anyone farts in his general direction. Time to get rid.
