Here we go again....

How much is rodwell on? £30k a week?

Just saying...that's the wage benchmark set, we suffer the backfire when we negotiate contracts.

Moyes clearly rates him and Minus all this kneejerking, he was one of our best players at the end of last season and was making man of the match performances the season before before Kevin Nolan put him out of action for close to 2 seasons.

As for the "he's [Poor language removed], snide" etc etc its a running theme with our fans when anyone leaves or says something out of line. We need to grow up and get with modern football rather than being stuck in the 80s. Money is needed, we don't have any, we've started to increase our wages and are jibbing off players who want to be on the same level as their teammates.

Next summer...the squad is gettin rebuilt again

Exactly right. Elstone and Ross must piss themselves laughing at the way they pull this lever and that lever and get the required responses they want.

I can't believe some people think he is a decent player. He is 22, he has been playing for the club for nearly 5 seasons, has missed the best part of 18 months through injury, and has scored 7 goals.

Stats

Bye lad, 30k better off.

Moyes rates him. Rates him more than Vaughan etc and clearly wants him to sign.

He should sign. He should prove his worth and should ask to be sent on loan to get games if that's what he wants.

But hes probably disallusional with the club after being here 5seasons. He probably doesn't like being on the wing, who knows. Yak, pienaar, heitinga, yobo, bilya all probably going. He's seen gosling go very easily. Its also not his fault he's been out for 18months.

It's a very bad situation were in IMO. Our "youth" seems to be dwindling. Our squad depth is gonna be non existent.

We should keep him. But if hes wanting to go, another one will go without a penny in our pocket.

I didn't say it was his fault being out injured for so long, at at this point it's unconfirmed rumours he has slapped the face in the club over a very decent contract offer for a young player with little first team action.

I'll decide when it's confirmed or denied - but he will be no great loss in my eyes.

Great loss or not I just find it silly were unable to keep players young or senior. Were talking about 7 players going out by the end of the season with about a return of about £10mill. That's nothing in today's market.

It's a bad situation IMO.

If he went, how much would be looking in getting in compensation?

I definitely rate him higher than Gosling, but I don't see him in my starting line up much. Would it be about 3 million, bit lower I guess? Would prefer him to stay, but being honest, if he's turned down 30k or whatever it was, a few million in return and I wouldn't be massively fussed

I can't see him getting a regular game in the Prem, for any team who is trying to get European football. So if he is happy signing for a Newcastle, Blackburn etc....good luck to him. If he wants to sit on the bench and pick up 40k a week for a side further up the table, well then I really wouldn't be too bothered

Don't rate him at all myself tbh. Looks like Moyes does however and Kenada is probably right, when he says he's rated higher by him than Vaughan. Personally have never seen anything from Anichebe, that would put him ahead of Vaughan in my opinion. Wouldn't mind it, if he got sold

Well the reported fee for Joe Ledley was £3mill, if thats the case then surely Anichebe has got to be worth £4-5mill. I cant see clubs queuing up to sign him if they have to pay that much.

Oh look it's Davek

Knew he'd wade in with the anti-club angle.

Ross Barkley signed a 2 1/2 year deal yesterday.

Obviously the club are incompetent.

Don't you call journalists "snides"? Didn't you recently comment on an interview with Moyes in a newspaper and say that not to trust it because he could easily of been misquoted?

I think you did. And you're right.

So ignore the fact its Davek spinning against the club, he is right that its very very naive and stupid for fans to believe every word of a newspaper report and then turn on our players without knowing as many facts as possible.

There could be many reasons why Victor hasn't signed, but until LCAB comments i'm not going to judge.

The worrying thing is he is just another in the line of players who don't seem to want to play for us. A line which appears to be getting bigger.

I'm not really worried about the likes of Gosling and Anichebe, refusing to negotiate or sign a new contract at Everton. Could that also be down to the fact, that neither of them are actually good enough to cement down a place in the first team? Don't think either of them would ever become more than a bit part player at our club. Rodwell, had no problems signing for us and more concerned about tying down Fellaini on a new long term deal, than I am about Anichebe.

Just think he wants regular playing time and he probably realises, that he won't get near that with us. Can't blame him at all, for wanting out. So good luck with your choice Victor, and I hope you have a good career ahead of you.

They are still good players who will need to be replaced.

Sure its not the end of the world if a "squad" player wants to leave but its not just them is it? There's a lot better players who seemingly want out.

Get rid. Another who's stunk out the club for far too long.

We need to cull at least 4-5 players, and Vic and Vaughan are at the head of the chopping board.
