Idiots that think they are worth more than 30k tend to stand out in my eyes, I said I thought he was [Poor language removed] last season and wouldn't put him in the 13k bracket, I fail to see what he offers us, I can see what he could offer us, but see an attitude and chip that seem to get under his feet and bring him down at every opportunity*

*cue arms out wide appealing for a free kick when he could've carried on.

Your missing the point, I don't think he's worth 30k a week either, but to say he deserved to be booed because of some rumours in the papers is rubbish really. What's next, Pienaar's going away boo last game of the season? Fellaini maybe if he decides to stall on a contract?

I thought he played well today and put beckford through for his disallowed goal. He fought and battled and argued the toss to show he cared IMO.

But it is funny when you're 2 points off the bottom 3 and your fans are booing the players on press rumours.

As for the £30k rumour...isn't rodwell on that? Didn't goslings agent want the same for gosling? End of the day if you're saying one player is worth this and another isn't, players will want to move on. Look at pienaar

So it was an offer to move from £15,000 pw to £20,000 pw. That's some hard nosed negotiating tactic Everton have going on there: 'sign this or we sell you'. I'm sure players will be queuing up around the block to walk into Everton FC. Finances must be desperate to operate in this way.

Nice touch by the Echo - none of their hacks want to put their name to the piece. Just doing the club's job for them like they're told.

Lol!

Im not sure about Victor, when he is fit he has proved in the past that he has ability, at times in europe he was amazing. But he has had alot of injuries, I think the clubs offer is fair, he will get the big money, if he stays fit and plays the games, if he doesnt he wont.

If he chooses to walk away, so be it, I dont see the big clubs lining up to sign him. But he will probably get a promoted team (in the summer) or a team that narrowly avoided relegation.

£15,000 pw is more than fair for any footballer, tbh. These fellers live in a cosetted fantasy world. That said, these crazy wages are the reality we live with. I'd like to know who thought it was a great idea on the morning of a game to put that story out to the press and bring down a chorus of boos on the player. I'm sure team morale must be sky high right now: show some prevarication in your contract dealing with the club and they'll fetch the boo boys on to you.

What a class act we have running this footbal club.

Exactly.

Add moyes sayin were gonna maybe sell pienaar in january cos were skint and all our strikers are [Poor language removed].

We love pr we do

To be honest whatever the real figure is to Vic i don't think he's worth anymore than 10,000 a week.

If he really did turn down 30,000 or 20,000 we should wave goodbye. For me he doesn't play well as a striker and he has no ability to be a winger. He is like John O'Shea sits into a position when it needs to be filled by someone.

I don't understand why we would give our average youth players big contracts instead of letting them go or selling them for what we can. If we are broke and need to clear wages then the likes of Saha past their prime and those who will never reach it should go first.

That's it, it was apparently 20k...but rising to 30k a week. He's certainly not warranted that in my eye. 7 goals was it? I'm not totally sure the Club said have that or you're out, but in reality that's it I guess. Obviously I wish he'd stay (but I wish he'd begged to stay and would be happy on 10k a week more), but for someone who's not a starter, who turned it down for either a ) wants more money b ) wants more games c ) wants more games up front or d ) something else, then there's a good chance he's not going to get it here.

35k+ a week to sit on our bench? No thanks. Even if we had all the money in the world, I wouldn't offer him more than what we have. The simple thing is we don't have THAT kind of money. And again, that's another story
