I'll have another look but to me Jela had the freedom of that whole side and could see right along the line. He's always trying to play too tight margins and getting caught out. He should have stayed on side regardless IMO.

we'll have to agree to disagree mate haha.... I honestly thought the run was perfect but vic held on too long.... I only remember it so clearly as I shouted at him ( on the ipad in work ) at the time lol.

I was shouting 'stay onside you *****' myself haha. I've got the highlights taped so I'll be keeping my eye out for that later.

I love this guy

gona be interesting with him and fellaini playign together agin, i can never remember how well they play together??

Always been one of the biggest doubters of Anichebe on here, but really looks like he's starting to prove me wrong. He's been brilliant for us at times and Spurs was probably his best performance thus far. He was superb for us yesterday, just a shame he couldn't finish his chance in the dying minutes.

Absolutely enjoyed my day at WHL yesterday. Picked a great match to attend.

We should remember as well how young Anichebe is,because he has been around the first team for so long it seems that he must be older ,but at only 24 he is probably two or three years away from being at his best.

Starting to look like a player at last and was very good yesterday.

Not going to get over excited though until he starts doing it on a regular basis and starts scoring goals.

His goal scoring over the last 18 months has been fine; 10 goals in his last 31 league appearances, many (most?) of which were off the bench.

He shot from long range and it went wide of the goal - but it was a mighty effort. I would like to see more like that from him. I never knew he could hit them like that.

Yeah he hit a nice bit of goal scoring form in 2012 but has cooled down slightly as of the last couple of months. Needs a goal, I think.

All strikers need goals to help with confidence etc. but he put a massive amount of work in to that performance yesterday and I think it's unfair to just remember the missed chance which he created himself near the end. At times he was completely isolated as our 1 man upfront really does mean 1 man upfront, and he did an excellent job of holding the ball up, winning free kicks, and laying it off etc. He was also tracking back and closing down the Spurs midfield as Everton appeared to sit very deep for most of the game.

Like SBB I was also surprised and slightly impressed by his long range effort, I'd like to think that the Manager and coaches concentrate on his positives from yesterday and build the lad's confidence rather than focussing on his missed chance.

He's been a completely different player for almost an entire calendar year now. His development has been exponential since he's come back from the Nolan injury. I think it's safe to say he's got genuine ability now. I wonder where it will lead
